Riding Experience

Running in - an essential part of the experience. These boots are sturdy and the sole is very stiff. At first changing gear was very difficult and it too several rides to get slick again as I got used to the boots and as the boots started to soften up a little. I am sure this will improve further with time.

Comfort - I admit I like my boots snug. The fasteners are able to achieve this with their ratchet and metal locking clips. It is winter now and no issues with warmth or comfort have evidenced themselves.  The boots fit my feet well, of course this is a very personal thing so it is definitely well worth going to a retailer that will let you try several sizes before choosing. I went to GetGeared in Leatherhead who ordered several sizes in for me so I could get the best fit.  Great service.

Waterproof-ness - not been able to test this out yet, but hope (strange turn of phrase) that my next trip to Wales will allow me to test this out.  I have very little doubt that they will be waterproof as GoreTex is tried and tested.
