Nick and Marty do Ireland
Nick and Marty set off to watch the NW200 races and to see some of the fantastic Irish countryside, coastline and meet the fantastic Irish peple. This they did with gusto and in abundance!
Dublin to Galway
303mls/ 6:50 riding time
This is quite a tortuous first day but is rewarded by two superb motor cycling rides - Wicklow Mountains and the Wild Atlantic Coast.
In order to make this possible we took the motorway for half the trip to get the miles covered.
Galway to Donegal
233mls/ 5:20 riding time
A refreshing ride along the Atlantic Coast into Donegal. Not too long a ride.
A lovely opportunity to stop for lunch by the side of a lough filled with mussel beds.
Donegal to Dublin
343mls/ 7:25 hrs riding time
This is a long day. Highlights would be
- Fantastic coastal ride out of Donegal
- Stop off at the Magic Roundabout in Coleraine to catch some of the NW200 racing.
- Fantastic ride down the Antrim Coast, past Belfast and down to Dublin.
As this route is ambitious, if needed we can take an alternative route to Coleraine across the mountains.

Plan C
77mls/ 1:14 riding time
